Trogir: a UNESCO old town for an easy day trip

Trogir is a compact historic town on the coast, 35 to 45 minutes by car from Žnjan, with an old core that has been UNESCO-protected since 1997. Set on a small island connected by bridges to the mainland and to Čiovo, Trogir has that Mediterranean layout that doesn't need a map: everything is a few minutes on foot.

A walk through the stone streets leads to the Cathedral of St. Lawrence with the famous portal by Master Radovan, the main square and the loggia, and a string of palaces and churches that speak to the town's rich past. Along the river and the riva you'll find cafés and restaurants where a pause feels like a natural part of the walk rather than an interruption.
